Composer Antoniou visits SP again, becomes honorary member...

Legendary composer Theodoros Antoniou visited us Saturday, April 25, and discussed his friendship with Manos Hatzidakis and Nikos Gatsos, and the environment in which Greek musicians, composers, writers and intellectuals worked in the second half of the 20th century.

Antoniou, who is a retired music professor at BU and founder of ALEA III, has become a faithful  member of the parea and visits us when he is in the USA. In May 2014 he was elected to the Greek Academy of Letters where he holds the chair of music composition.

More information can be found here:

To honor his presence and interest in us, parea members offered him our hat!

Antoniou, left, with Kosmas and Makis
There is some charm to this hat....
