Kalanda's 30th Anniversary raises more than $3500

Three generations of Newton Kalanda singers helped celebrate the group's 30th anniversary by raising more than $3500 for the Hellenic Cardiac Fund of Boston's Children's Hospital (BCH). Before the group started its tour, organizer Vassilis Zannis expressed to the group the gratitude of BCH's B. Pappas and introduced the original and new participants. Then the singers visited the homes of about 12 Greek Americans and the Filoxenia House, where they sang under the direction of original conductor Nikos Madias.
